Vikraman Nair left his hometown in Kerala for Jamshedpur after completing his SSLC. He completed his college in Jamshedpur and moved to New Delhi where he worked for a few years. From Delhi he moved to USA where he completed his Master’s degree. Vikram loved to read Hindu scriptures, but found it hard because the scriptures were written in Sanskrit and then again words were compounded together decided to make it his mission to simplify the Sanskrit scriptures by making it easy for the common man to read. He did it by separating Sanskrit words compounded by sandhi. It was an experiment at first. Soon he realized that the simplified version had helped him as well as many of his friends to read and understand the scriptures better.
This version of the Bhagavad Gita is not intended for those who are already well-versed in the Sanskrit language or for those who can effortlessly chant its verses. Instead, it is designed for the common man, who may struggle to read or pronounce Sanskrit verses. The goal is to make reading and chanting Gita’s verses easier. This book helps those people, who have not read the Gita because of the complexity of the Sanskrit language and help them to understant it.
