Narayaneeyam, composed by Melputhoor Narayana Bhattathiri is a great holy classical work containing 1034 hymns. This immortal Sanskrit poem portrays the glory of the Lord of Guruvayoor (Guruvayoorappan) who is the incarnation of MahaVishnu worshipped in the form of Lord Krishna, along with the Vaishnava concepts and philosophical principles. This is in fact an abridged version of Sreemad Bhagavatham composed by Vedavyasa in 18000 slokas. It is believed that reading Narayaneeyam would cure one’s ailments and provide comfort and peace.
