Book Name in English : Pracheena Malabar

Dating back to 1930, Pracheena Malabar is originally an Urdu title, resulted in by a long-term research of Dr Shamsulla Khadiri on the documents then available on the ancient Kerala history. The book was released at a huge educational conference in Aligarh. The Malabar in the title is not restrictive; it rather denotes a vast geography from Kasargodu, the northern end of Kerala, to Cape Camorin [Kanyakumari], its southern end.
By republishing this book, the publisher is paying homage to the great Urdu litterateur as well as reminding us of the golden era in the Indo-Arab relations. I hope that this book, eclectically combining several studies both of the European and of regional scholars, will motivate the new generation of scholars, by opening the door into the deep perceptions on Kerala history.
