Some of Theekshna’s poems are quite philosophical. Look at the lines- “The names which he can only call me”. With the simplest words she creates a world with her grandfather. She cherishes those days just because she knows well that they won’t come back. Even though these are the words of a single child, they remind us of a world which we, grown ups have taken from them. The same thought of broken childhood can be seen in many of her poems such as To Find a Home, Unspoken etc
Theekshna Sahithy, in her poems, breaks out all the cult images of literature. Sometimes she might not have been aware of that. Let it be. It gives us great promise and hope for the future.
